3 New Upcoming Hyundai Hybrid SUVs in India
1. New Premium Three-Row SUV
Codenamed Ni1i, Hyundai is also working on an all-new premium three-row SUV that is likely to bridge the gap between the Alcazar and Tucson. Built on a new platform, the SUV may feature a hybrid system based on the brand’s 1.5-litre petrol engine. This upcoming model is expected to combine stylish design with practical three-row seating, making it a strong choice for larger families. Industry reports suggest it could debut by 2027, with pricing expected in the ₹25–30 lakh range.
With these three SUVs, Hyundai is clearly aiming to strengthen its hybrid portfolio in India. As the brand ramps up production at its Talegaon plant by 2025, the arrival of these new models will mark an important step in Hyundai’s strategy to offer eco-friendly mobility without compromising on style, features, or performance.

2. Next-Gen Hyundai Creta Hybrid
The next-generation Hyundai Creta, internally codenamed SX3, is likely to make its debut around 2027. The new model is expected to come with a completely fresh design language, featuring a bolder grille, sleeker LED lighting, and a more aerodynamic profile. Inside, the SUV could get a modern cabin with premium upholstery, a fully digital instrument cluster, and an upgraded infotainment system with connected car technology.
Under the hood, the Creta is set to continue with the current 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel, and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines, while also introducing a hybrid powertrain. This hybrid setup is expected to improve overall fuel efficiency without compromising on performance. Prices are expected to start around ₹12–13 lakh, going up based on variants and features.
3. Hyundai Palisade Hybrid
Hyundai’s flagship SUV, the Palisade Hybrid, could make its Indian debut around 2028. Globally, the Palisade hybrid combines a 2.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with an electric motor, producing 334 hp and 460 Nm of torque. This setup not only offers strong performance but also delivers an impressive mileage of just over 14 kmpl, making it one of the most efficient large SUVs in its class.
In terms of design, the Palisade is expected to bring a commanding road presence with a bold grille, muscular lines, and premium finishes. Inside, it will likely feature three-row seating with plush materials, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and an advanced digital cockpit. Expected prices could start above ₹40 lakh, placing it in direct competition with models like the Toyota Fortuner and Jeep Meridian.
