Maruti Suzuki has introduced a special Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition of its flagship SUV, the Grand Vitara, to mark the 10th anniversary of its premium NEXA dealership network. This edition brings an exclusive Matte Black paint finish along with several blacked-out exterior details, and it will be offered only in the top-spec Alpha+ strong hybrid variant.

Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition Design Updates
This is the first time the Grand Vitara has received a special edition treatment. The standout feature is the Matte Black colour, which is unique to this variant. Complementing the new paint are gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels, a gloss black front grille surround, and black-finished roof rails and skid plates. Chrome accents have been kept minimal, limited to the Suzuki logo and window line. The overall effect is a more stealthy and premium appearance compared to the regular model.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition retains the all-black cabin theme already seen in the strong hybrid variant. It features a soft-touch dashboard, perforated faux leather upholstery, and champagne gold inserts. Being the Alpha+ variant, it comes fully loaded with features such as ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, and wireless phone charging. Infotainment is handled by a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paired with a premium Clarion sound system.

Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition Engine and Performance
Under the bonnet, the Phantom Blaq Edition is powered by the same strong hybrid setup as the standard Alpha+ variant. It combines a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine operating on the Atkinson cycle with an electric motor and a 0.76 kWh battery pack. Power output is rated at 116 hp, sent to the front wheels via an e-CVT gearbox. Maruti Suzuki claims an impressive fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl for this hybrid SUV, making it one of the most efficient models in its class.
Expected Price and Availability
Maruti Suzuki has not yet announced the price or exact launch date for the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition. However, given the cosmetic enhancements and exclusive paint option, it is expected to be priced slightly higher than the standard Alpha+ strong hybrid variant. Sales are likely to commence in the coming weeks through NEXA dealerships.
