MG Motor India’s electric crossover, the MG Windsor, has achieved its highest-ever monthly sales, delivering 4,308 units in July 2025. This marks the tenth straight month where the Windsor has topped India’s EV sales charts, underlining its position as the country’s best-selling electric vehicle.

Consistent Sales Growth Since Launch
Since its introduction, the MG Windsor has sold nearly 36,000 units across India. This consistent demand has helped MG strengthen its foothold in the electric vehicle segment. In the second quarter of 2025, MG’s EV market share rose to 32%, up from 28% in the first quarter. During the same period, average monthly Windsor sales increased by 17%, while overall EV sales for the company jumped 28%.

The MG Windsor has collected over 30 awards, including the prestigious Green Car Award 2025 by iCOTY. Marketed as India’s first intelligent crossover utility vehicle (CUV), it blends the comfort of a sedan with the practicality of an SUV — a combination that has struck a chord with urban buyers looking for style, space, and sustainable mobility.

The MG Windsor’s ‘AeroGlide’ exterior design gives it a futuristic yet approachable look. Its aerodynamic profile is complemented by a spacious cabin designed for comfort. The Windsor is powered by a 100 kW (136 PS) electric motor producing 200 Nm of torque. The setup promises smooth acceleration and silent operation — qualities that appeal to EV buyers. The starting Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) price is ₹9.99 lakh, plus ₹3.9 per km, making it more accessible for those considering the switch to electric mobility.
