Bajaj Chetak Electric Design and Styling
The Bajaj Chetak Electric retains a classic scooter silhouette, with smooth flowing lines and a retro appeal that will remind older riders of the original. However, it also features modern touches like LED lighting, a digital LCD instrument console, and a premium paint finish. The under-seat storage capacity is 35 litres, making it practical for everyday use.
Performance and Riding Experience

Powering the Chetak Electric is a 3.1 kW electric motor, delivering a top speed of 62 km/h – ideal for city commuting. The motor offers smooth acceleration, and thanks to the nature of EVs, there’s no noise or vibration. The riding position is upright and comfortable, making it suitable for both short urban trips and longer daily commutes.

Battery and Charging
The scooter is equipped with a 3 kWh fixed lithium-ion battery. Bajaj claims it can charge from 0% to 80% in about 3.5 hours using a standard charger. On a full charge, it offers a practical riding range that should easily cover most daily needs. Bajaj backs the battery with a 3-year or 50,000 km warranty, while the motor comes with an impressive 7-year warranty.
Safety and Suspension
The Chetak Electric features CBS (Combi-Braking System) with a front disc brake and a single-piston calliper. Suspension duties are handled by a single-sided leading-link setup at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Ground clearance stands at 168 mm, which helps it handle speed breakers and uneven roads without scraping.
Bajaj Chetak Electric Features

Standout features include LED headlights, battery status monitoring, a boot light, and Bluetooth-enabled smart connectivity for certain variants. These make the Chetak not just a scooter, but a smart urban mobility solution.
