Mahindra Vision X Design and Styling
The Vision X concept carries a compact yet upright stance, aimed at striking a balance between urban crossover and rugged SUV. The highlights include a bold front fascia with sleek LED lighting, chunky black cladding across the body, muscular bumpers, and dual-tone aero-efficient alloy wheels. The concept also sports flush-fitting door handles, adding a premium touch. With a wheelbase of 2,665 mm, it is longer than most rivals in the segment, which could give it an advantage in terms of rear seat space.

Platform and Powertrain
Built on Mahindra’s new NU_IQ modular architecture, the Vision X is designed to support multiple powertrain options. While official details remain under wraps, the SUV is expected to be offered with petrol, diesel, hybrid, and all-electric versions. The standard layout will be front-wheel drive (FWD), but the platform can also support all-wheel drive (AWD), which Mahindra could reserve for higher variants.
The ICE version will likely join the XUV line-up, while the electric version could be slotted under the XEV family. This flexibility means Mahindra could either position it as the next-generation XUV3XO or introduce it as an all-new model sitting alongside it.

Mahindra Vision X Interior and Features

Inside, the Vision X concept showcases a modern and premium layout. The cabin features a dual-display setup combining the instrument cluster and infotainment system, a new two-spoke steering wheel, and a layered dashboard design. A large centre console and clean, minimalist controls give it a futuristic appeal. While exact feature details will emerge closer to production, we can expect connected car technology, ADAS features, wireless smartphone integration, and advanced safety equipment.
Mahindra Vision X Launch Timeline and Price
Mahindra is targeting 2027 for the production-ready Vision X, with pricing expected to start at around ₹9–10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the ICE version. The EV variant, depending on battery size and range, could be positioned higher, starting from around ₹15 lakh.
With its flexible platform, modern design and focus on space, the Mahindra Vision X has the potential to become a strong player in India’s fast-growing compact SUV market.
