BMW India has launched the BMW 3 Series 50 Jahre Edition, celebrating 50 years of the brand’s most iconic sedan. Offered in two trims – the 330Li M Sport and the M340i – both are limited to just 50 units each, making them highly exclusive. The special editions are locally assembled at BMW’s Chennai plant and can only be booked via the BMW Online Shop.

BMW 3 Series 50 Jahre Edition Pricing and Variants
The BMW 330Li M Sport 50 Jahre Edition is priced at ₹64 lakh (ex-showroom), while the sportier BMW M340i 50 Jahre Edition comes in at ₹76.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
BMW 330Li M Sport 50 Jahre Edition – Design and Features
The 330Li M Sport gets subtle but premium styling upgrades. These include an M High Gloss Shadow Line finish, carbon fibre trim inserts, and a special “1/50” laser engraving on the B-pillar to mark exclusivity. Inside, the sedan comes equipped with a head-up display with 3D navigation, a wide curved display running BMW’s latest iDrive OS 8.5, and electrically adjustable seats with high-quality upholstery.
Under the hood, the 330Li is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine, producing 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission, allowing the car to accelerate from 0–100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds. Expected fuel efficiency remains around 12–14 kmpl, depending on driving conditions.

BMW M340i 50 Jahre Edition – Performance Focused
The M340i is the sportier of the two, distinguished by blacked-out badges, unique hubcaps, and a special laser-engraved insignia. It also comes with M Performance accessories, such as a custom key fob, steering wheel marker in red, and carbon fibre trim. The sedan rides on 19-inch Jet Black alloy wheels with red brake callipers.
Power comes from a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo petrol engine, producing 374 hp and 500 Nm. Combined with BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system, M Sport differential, and adaptive suspension, the car sprints from 0–100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds.
Cabin and Technology
Both editions feature premium Vernasca leather upholstery and exclusive paint shades. The M340i gets an edge with BMW Live Cockpit Professional, a 14.9-inch curved touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. As a collector’s touch, each M340i buyer will also receive a 1:18 scale model of the legendary BMW 3.0 CSL.
