KTM has once again been spotted testing two upcoming motorcycles – a new Adventure bike and a naked streetfighter that looks like the next-gen Duke. Interestingly, both test mules carry a twin-cylinder motor but with some design cues that suggest these are not part of the 790 range. Instead, they could be KTM’s long-awaited smaller-capacity twin-cylinder motorcycles aimed at the entry to mid-size segment.

Design and Features
From the spy shots, both bikes look close to production-ready but are still covered with heavy camouflage. The Adventure model follows KTM’s traditional rally-style design, with a tall stance, wide handlebars, and long-travel suspension. The Duke, on the other hand, sticks to a sharp, naked-streetfighter look with an upright riding position and exposed frame.
A key observation is that both test bikes use a single front disc brake. This is unusual for KTM’s 790 line-up, which usually carries twin-disc brakes at the front for stronger stopping power. The lighter setup hints at a smaller displacement engine, likely designed to keep costs and weight down.
Other details include alloy wheels with road-biased tyres on the Duke and dual-purpose tyres on the Adventure. Both motorcycles also feature LED lighting, digital displays, and aggressive KTM styling, though final trims and equipment will be confirmed closer to launch.
Engine and Performance

The biggest talking point is the engine. Instead of being a part of the 790 platform, reports suggest that this could be a new twin-cylinder unit in the 500cc to 550cc range. KTM has long been working on downsizing its LC8c parallel-twin engine architecture to cater to markets like India and Southeast Asia.
While power figures are still under wraps, expect performance to sit in the 45-55 bhp range, striking a balance between highway touring and daily usability. KTM may also tune the Adventure variant for stronger low-end torque, while the Duke will focus on quick acceleration and agile handling.

Mileage and Efficiency
Being a smaller-capacity twin, the new motor should deliver respectable efficiency. An expected mileage of 22–28 kmpl seems likely, depending on the variant and riding style. This would make it competitive with bikes like the Honda CB500X, Benelli TRK 502, and Kawasaki’s 500cc range.
Expected Price and Launch

KTM has not confirmed official timelines, but since the prototypes look nearly ready, a global debut could happen in late 2025 or early 2026. India, being one of KTM’s major production bases, is expected to get these motorcycles soon after their international launch.
As for pricing, the Duke could be priced around ₹4.5–5.0 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Adventure variant may sit slightly higher, at ₹5.5–6.0 lakh (ex-showroom).
Final Thoughts
These new KTM twin-cylinder motorcycles could fill the long-standing gap in the mid-capacity segment, offering enthusiasts a more affordable and accessible option compared to the brand’s bigger machines. With KTM’s sharp design, strong performance, and India-focused manufacturing, the upcoming Adventure and Duke twins are likely to generate huge interest when they finally hit the showrooms.
