New Mahindra XEV 7e Design and Positioning
The Mahindra XEV 7e will be based on the company’s INGLO born-electric platform, the same architecture underpinning the upcoming XEV 9e. The design language will be in line with Mahindra’s new-age electric SUVs, with a modern silhouette, sharp detailing, and a bold stance. It will serve as the flagship model in Mahindra’s Born EV line-up, placed above the BE 6 and XEV 9e. Expected pricing is in the range of ₹23 lakh to ₹32 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a premium but competitive alternative to traditional ICE 7-seater SUVs.
New Mahindra XEV 7e Interior and Features

Inside, the XEV 7e will offer a tech-loaded cabin. A triple-screen setup will dominate the dashboard, comprising a 12.3-inch infotainment display, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and an additional 12.3-inch passenger screen. Other highlights include a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, captain seats in the 6-seater configuration, and leatherette upholstery across the cabin.

Premium features expected include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, augmented reality HUD, wireless chargers for all rows, ambient lighting, and an auto park function. Safety tech will be strong as well, with Level 2 ADAS offering adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and autonomous emergency braking.
Battery, Range and Performance

The New Mahindra XEV 7e is likely to borrow its powertrain options from the XEV 9e. This means buyers can expect 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery pack choices. Unlike the XEV 9e, which is rear-wheel drive only, the XEV 7e will come with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, making it more versatile for different road conditions. The larger battery pack is expected to deliver a driving range of over 500km on a single charge, putting it on par with global rivals.
Conclusion
With the New Mahindra XEV 7e, Mahindra is clearly aiming at families who want the practicality of a 7-seater along with the benefits of electric mobility. Spacious interiors, modern tech, and a long-range battery should help it stand out in the growing EV market.
