Under the hood, the Inster EV is powered by a battery pack that delivers up to 370 km (230 miles) of range on the WLTP cycle, making it suitable for daily commutes and weekend getaways. Hyundai also offers fast charging capability, enabling the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just about 30 minutes with a DC fast charger. This combination of range and charging speed makes the Inster a convenient choice for buyers switching to electric mobility.

Price and Market Position

One of the biggest highlights of the Hyundai Inster EV is its price. Starting at €23,900 (around $28,000) in Germany, it is currently Hyundai’s most affordable electric SUV. This competitive pricing has helped the Inster rank among the top 10 best-selling EVs in Germany for three consecutive months, with over 6,000 units registered so far in 2025. Hyundai says the model is attracting buyers who want an affordable, practical EV without compromising essential features.

Unfortunately, the Inster EV is not expected to launch in the US market. For American buyers, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 remains the most budget-friendly option with attractive lease deals.
