While it’s a taxi-focused variant, Kia hasn’t compromised on design. The Carens Clavis EV HTM retains many of the design elements seen in its private-use sibling. It features 16-inch black alloy wheels, connected Star Map LED DRLs, and LED tail lamps which add a touch of modern flair. The front gets signature Ice Cube LED headlamps, fog lamps, and Active Air Flaps for better aerodynamics. Also included is a 25-litre front trunk (frunk), useful for carrying essentials, and auto-folding ORVMs for convenience in urban parking conditions.

The Carens Clavis EV HTM comes powered by the lower-output motor that delivers 133 hp and 255 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 42 kWh NMC battery pack, which is the same as the standard-range variant available to private buyers. This setup offers a claimed range of 404 km, making it suitable for daily city use, especially in urban fleet operations.
While the power figures aren’t aimed at performance enthusiasts, the combination provides sufficient torque for city commuting, and the range is well-suited for most taxi and fleet demands.
Pricing and Market Positioning
The Carens Clavis EV HTM has been priced at ₹18.19 lakh (ex-showroom), slightly higher than the HTK+ variant available for private buyers, which costs ₹17.99 lakh. This price includes the added commercial-specific equipment and safety features.
