BE 6 Dark Edition: What’s New?
As expected, the BE 6 Dark Edition builds on the standard BE 6’s bold, futuristic styling but swaps the bright elements for an all-black theme. The SUV features gloss-black body panels, dark chrome accents, and blacked-out alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin continues the theme with a dark upholstery finish, subtle contrast stitching, and black trims on the dashboard and door panels.
The Dark Edition is based on the top-spec variant, ensuring it comes loaded with premium features such as a large infotainment touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, ADAS safety tech, and connected car functions.
Powertrain and Performance

While Mahindra hasn’t introduced any mechanical changes to the Dark Edition, the BE 6 continues to be offered with its high-capacity electric motor paired to a large battery pack. The SUV delivers a strong performance with quick acceleration and is expected to offer a driving range in the region of 450–500 km on a single charge, depending on variant and driving conditions. Fast-charging support enables it to top up from 10 to 80 percent in under 40 minutes.

Position in Mahindra’s EV Line-up

The BE 6 Dark Edition is Mahindra’s first electric model to get the Dark Edition treatment. Until now, this all-black styling package was available only on the XUV700 (Ebony Edition) and Scorpio N (Carbon Edition). Mahindra hinted that other electric models, including the XEV 9e, may soon follow suit.
BE 6 Dark Edition Price and Availability
Official prices for the BE 6 Dark Edition have not been announced yet, but given its top-spec positioning and premium cosmetic upgrades, it is expected to carry a slight premium over the standard BE 6. Deliveries are set to begin later this year.
With the BE 6 Dark Edition, Mahindra is clearly aiming to blend sporty, stealthy aesthetics with the performance and practicality of its new-generation electric SUVs — making it a compelling option in India’s fast-growing EV market.
