Design and Dimensions
While final design details remain under wraps, early test mules suggest the Escudo will take styling inspiration from both the e Vitara and the Grand Vitara. It is expected to be slightly longer than the Grand Vitara, offering a spacious cabin and a large boot for added practicality. The SUV will feature a bold front fascia, LED lighting elements, and a contemporary SUV stance designed to compete in the crowded midsize segment.

A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six airbags as standard, a wireless smartphone charger, semi-digital instrument cluster, flat-bottom steering wheel, and multiple drive modes will be part of the package. Engine Options and Mileage
The Escudo will share its powertrain lineup with the Grand Vitara. This means buyers can expect the familiar 1.5-litre mild hybrid petrol and 1.5-litre strong hybrid petrol options, both known for their efficiency and reliability. Manual and automatic transmission choices will be available, and a CNG variant may also join the lineup later. With the strong hybrid option, mileage figures could comfortably cross the 25 km/l mark, while the mild hybrid is expected to deliver around 20 km/l.

Maruti Suzuki Escudo Hybrid Pricing and Rivals
Maruti Suzuki is expected to price the Maruti Suzuki Escudo Hybrid between ₹11 lakh and ₹16 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a competitive option in its class. The SUV will take on popular rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Mahindra Scorpio N, Toyota Hyryder, and Honda Elevate.
With a blend of familiar engines, strong fuel efficiency, practical design, and a competitive price tag, the Maruti Suzuki Escudo Hybrid could become an appealing choice for Indian SUV buyers looking for a feature-packed yet affordable option.
