New Renault Duster design and platform
The upcoming Duster has been designed on Renault’s new CMF-B modular platform, which will also support a larger 7-seater SUV (codenamed Boreal) and an upcoming Nissan SUV. The new Duster is expected to carry forward its rugged stance but with a more modern touch – sharp LED lighting, muscular body lines and an updated cabin design. Inside, buyers can expect more comfort and technology compared to its predecessor.
New Renault Duster Features on offer

Renault will equip the new-gen Duster with several premium features to match competition in the mid-size SUV space. Highlights include a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, and automatic climate control. On the safety side, the SUV will offer up to six airbags, ESP, traction control, hill start and descent assist, a 360-degree camera, and even Level 2 ADAS features – something that will make it stand out in its segment.

Engine and hybrid plans
Under the hood, the New Renault Duster will first launch with petrol engines. The mainstay is expected to be a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit producing 151bhp and 250Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. A more affordable variant may get a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol or a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Mileage figures are yet to be revealed, but Renault is likely to optimise efficiency for city and highway use. A hybrid version is also in development and could arrive in late 2026 or early 2027, expanding the line-up further.
New Renault Duster Price expectations and rivals

Renault is focusing on high localisation levels to keep costs competitive. Prices are expected to fall between ₹10 lakh and ₹17 lakh (ex-showroom), placing the SUV against popular models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and Honda Elevate.
With the festive season reveal expected later this year, anticipation around the new Renault Duster is already high, with some buyers even placing early bookings. If Renault gets the pricing right, the Duster could once again become a strong contender in the crowded mid-size SUV market.
