Tata Motors August 2025 Sales: Tata Motors has announced its sales figures for August 2025, registering a total of 73,178 units across domestic and international markets. This marks a marginal rise compared to 71,693 units in August 2024, reflecting steady performance despite challenging market conditions.

Commercial Vehicle Segment Shows Positive Growth
The commercial vehicle (CV) division recorded 29,863 units, a solid 10% year-on-year growth. Domestic CV sales stood at 27,481 units, up by 6% from last year, while international business saw a sharp jump of 77%, with 2,382 units sold.

Among CV categories, HCV trucks grew by 5% to 7,451 units, while ILMCV trucks saw a strong 15% rise. The SCV cargo and pickup segment contributed 10,742 units, up 4% from the previous year. Overall, medium and heavy commercial vehicles (MH&ICV), including trucks and buses, achieved 14,667 units, up from 12,708 units in August 2024.
Passenger Vehicle Sales See Slight Dip, EV Demand Surges
On the passenger vehicle (PV) front, Tata Motors recorded 43,315 units, down by 3% year-on-year. Domestic PV sales, including EVs, were 41,001 units, a 7% decline, whereas international business surged by 573%, reaching 2,314 units.

Despite the overall dip, the electric vehicle segment stood out with a record-breaking 8,540 units, marking a 44% growth compared to last year. Tata Motors attributes this rise to growing consumer confidence in EV technology and the increasing shift towards sustainable mobility.

EV Momentum Continues for Tata Motors

Tata’s EV lineup, which includes popular models like Nexon EV, Tiago EV, and Punch EV, is witnessing strong traction across the country. The company has been expanding its charging infrastructure and enhancing battery technology to support this transition.
