Toyota India Sales Hit All-Time High in August 2025 – Full Details Inside

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has recorded its highest-ever monthly Toyota India Sales, registering 34,236 units in August 2025, marking an 11% year-on-year growth compared to the same month last year. This figure includes 29,302 units sold in the domestic market and 4,934 units exported, highlighting the brand’s strong performance both in India and overseas markets.

Strong Performance Across Models

Toyota’s consistent growth this year is largely driven by its popular models such as the Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The Innova brand continues to be a major contributor, recently crossing 12 lakh cumulative sales in India as it celebrates its 20-year legacy.

The company also introduced a new Bluish Black colour option for the Urban Cruiser Taisor and standardized six airbags across all its variants, underlining Toyota’s focus on safety. In the premium segment, the brand launched the Camry Hybrid Sprint Edition, further strengthening its hybrid portfolio.

Exports and Manufacturing Expansion

On the export front, Toyota continues to expand its footprint, with shipments playing a significant role in boosting overall volumes. The automaker recently renewed its Wharfage Rate Agreement with Kamarajar Port Limited to strengthen its export operations under the Make in India initiative.

Toyota manufactures most of its cars in Bidadi, Karnataka, where its two plants have a combined annual capacity of 3,42,000 units. Plant 1, operational since 1999, produces the Innova range and Fortuner, while Plant 2, opened in 2010, builds models like the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux.
