VinFast is gearing up to make its debut in the Indian market with the VinFast VF6 Electric SUV, which will be launched alongside the larger VF7 in the coming weeks. Pre-bookings for both models are already open online and through newly inaugurated dealerships across the country. The VF6 will be locally assembled at VinFast’s new facility in Tamil Nadu, where production has already commenced.

VinFast VF6 Electric SUV Design and Dimensions
The VinFast VF6 Electric SUV is positioned in the midsize SUV segment, measuring 4,238mm in length, 1,820mm in width, and offering a 2,730mm wheelbase. The exterior adopts a coupe-inspired silhouette with the brand’s signature V-shaped LED daytime running lights at the front and a full-width LED light bar at the rear. The styling is clean but distinctive, giving the VF6 a modern yet approachable appearance.

Inside, the VF6 follows a minimalist layout. A 12.9-inch central touchscreen handles all infotainment, navigation, and driving information, as there is no conventional instrument cluster. The system comes integrated with Google apps, a voice assistant, and wireless smartphone connectivity. Premium touches such as ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, dual-zone climate control, and ambient lighting enhance comfort. Boot space stands at 423 litres, making it practical for family use.
Variants and Performance
The VF6 will be available in two trims – Eco and Plus – both powered by a 59.6kWh lithium-ion battery. The Eco variant delivers 174bhp and 250Nm of torque, while the Plus version offers a stronger 204bhp and 310Nm. Both are front-wheel drive and use a single-motor setup. According to WLTP figures, the Eco can achieve up to 399km on a single charge, while the Plus offers a range of 381km. DC fast charging from 20 to 80 percent takes about 30 minutes.
Safety Equipment
VinFast is equipping the VF6 with seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and front and rear parking sensors. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are also included, featuring adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and forward collision warning.
VinFast VF6 Electric SUV Expected Price
The VinFast VF6 Electric SUV is expected to be priced from around ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Eco variant, making it a competitive option in India’s growing EV SUV market.
With a blend of modern design, practical range, and comprehensive safety features, the VF6 could be an appealing choice for buyers looking to switch to an electric SUV in the mid-price segment.
